Memories of Valentyna Lushchyk about fire at the tank farm near Vasylkiv

People who have experienced a terrible tragedy, the eyewitnesses of the events on June 8, 2015, i.e. the explosion at BRSM tank farm, told how they felt now and what were their memories of the terrible fire.

VALENTYNA LUSHCHYK. “My husband died on January 31, 2017 without any particular reason. During three years after this terrible tragedy many people died, especially men. I remember my neighbor, who worked at the tank farm on that day, told that it might be the second Chernobyl, since there were so many various chemicals…”

Let’s recall:

On June 8, 2015, BRSM tank farm exploded near the village of Kriachky, Kyiv region, which caused the deaths of 6 persons. It was the second largest environmental disaster in Ukraine after the Chernobyl accident, the huge losses caused by which are not fully counted yet; an irreparable moral damage to the local population and health effects caused by which are getting worse each year.
